Klein, Thorpe & Jenkins' Carmen P. Forte, Jr. worked with the Village of River Grove to negotiate two redevelopment agreements with developer, MB Thatcher, LLC to build a new transit-oriented residential property called the "River Grove Station" in the Village's downtown TIF district. Recently completed, the now upscale, luxury property stood vacant for several years and was previously the site of the old Public Works facility for the Village and former Triton Towers office building.

Carmen's work on this project resulted in the construction of pedestrian friendly and transit-oriented layout to the overall project, including the new construction of several residential buildings, and the adaptive reuse of a mostly vacant office building for residential use. The Village's exciting new residential center includes various unrivaled amenities, and was coupled with considerable public infrastructure improvements, including the extension of Center Avenue and the creation of a public park, with new first-floor commercial uses at the buildings.
