KTJ attorneys Carmen P. Forte, Jr. and Gregory T. Smith worked alongside Village staff in the Village of River Grove to bring to town a new transit-oriented residential property, called the “River Grove Station." The property was the site of the Village’s former Public Works facility, and other vacant lots near the Village’s downtown corridor and Metra station. KTJ and the Village negotiated a redevelopment agreement and TIF-related matters with the developers, MB Thatcher, LLC, to construct the 80-unit high-end residential buildings with various amenities, considerable public infrastructure improvements including the extension of Center Avenue, green areas, upgraded parking facilities and a public park. The development will also include an upcoming commercial drive-through retail facility. The property was previously vacant for several years, and its proximity to the River Grove Metra station, just steps away, makes it a true transit-oriented development in the heart of River Grove.
The development is currently under construction and more information about it can be found here: https://www.noahchicago.com/rivergrovestation
