Overview

Carrie Winteregg is an associate attorney who concentrates her practice in the area of general litigation.

Carrie received her B.A. from Wittenberg University in Ohio in 2006. While at Wittenberg, she was a member of the Chi chapter of Alpha Delta Pi and was admitted to Ivy Ring, the school’s female honor society. She then moved to South Korea for two years, where she taught English as a second language to elementary school students and developed a love of kimchi.

After returning to the US, she attended University of Dayton School of Law and received her JD in 2011. While at the University of Dayton, Carrie was named the Top Oralist at the Walter Rice Moot Court Competition. She participated in the moot court board and the mock trial team.

Carrie moved to Chicago in 2011 and accepted a position with the City of Chicago’s Law Department in the Collections and Ownership Division, where she represented the City in hundreds of administrative hearings. She then moved to private practice, representing clients in corporate and real estate litigation. Before joining Klein, Thorpe and Jenkins, LTD., Carrie practiced at an insurance defense firm that handled high value personal injury cases.

Professional Affiliations

  • Carrie has been a member of the Chicago Bar Association since 2014. She is also a member of the Illinois Local Government Lawyers Association and Illinois State Bar Association.

Community Involvement

  • Carrie is currently a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Chicago Alumnae Association since 2018.
