School Law 

Our firm has represented educational institutions and districts in Illinois since 1935.Our attorneys possess the requisite experience to serve as general counsel to numerous school districts in Illinois and provide assistance to additional districts that offer a wide variety of specialized services. Klein, Thorpe & Jenkins, Ltd. provides legal services to more than 50 libraries and library districts. We also serve other library-related entities, such as Cooperative Computer Services. We have represented libraries and library districts throughout the Chicago area and all of Illinois for decades. Construction Law

Environmental Law 

Klein, Thorpe & Jenkins, Ltd. provides expert assistance in environmental law to the firm’s private and public sector clients and other attorneys and has experience under the full range of state and federal clean air, water, noise and hazardous substance statutes and regulations including CERCLA, RCRA, LUST and the Illinois Site Remediation Program (commonly referred to as the Brownfields Program). The firm assists our clients in responding to sites containing hazardous substances and waste including contaminated quarries, public utilities, gas stations, former manufactured gas plants (MGP), incinerators, abandoned landfills and abandoned, idled, or underused industrial and commercial properties where expansion or redevelopment has been hindered by real or perceived contamination. Klein, Thorpe & Jenkins, Ltd. represents the Village of Oak Park in one of this nation’s largest remediation projects of an MGP site.
