Elizabeth F. Brogan received her B.A. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Saint Louis University, and her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School. During that time, she was an Executive Board member of the Criminal Law Society and she also worked as a law clerk with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Prior to joining Klein, Thorpe and Jenkins, Ltd., Ms. Brogan served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. During her time as a criminal prosecutor, she handled felony and misdemeanor matters, and tried numerous bench and jury trials. She was also recognized by the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists with a Certificate of Appreciation for outstanding dedication to the cause of justice by aggressively prosecuting impaired drivers.
Ms. Brogan currently serves as local prosecutor for the firm’s clients in the areas of DUI and traffic citations and local ordinance violations. She also represents local governmental clients in litigation matters in both state and federal court.
- Beckett v. Village of Maywood – Circuit Court of Cook County – obtained summary judgment on a complaint for personal injury from a parkway trip and fall, based on the Village’s lack of notice of the specific defect.
