KTJ attorneys devote a considerable amount of time to professional activities, conducting workshops, giving speeches, and writing articles and treatises in the field of local government law. KTJ provides a number of services to our school district clients. We have instituted a scholarship program whereby our firm annually awards five $1,000.00 scholarships to deserving students nominated by our clients' schools.  KTJ also publishes a school law newsletter which is distributed to all KTJ school clients, and periodically, the firm prepares direct mailings to KTJ school clients on current legal issues.

In addition to regular in-house training and presentations to our local government clients, KTJ attorneys have lectured to organizations such as the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Illinois Municipal League, International Association of Municipal Attorneys, Illinois Government Finance Association, Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education, Illinois Public Sector Labor Relations Law Conference, West Central Municipal Conference, Illinois Fire Protection District Association, Illinois Council of School Attorneys, Illinois Association of Administrators of Special Education, Illinois Association of School Business Officials, Association of School Business Affairs International, National Association of School Business Officials, Illinois Association of School Boards, Lake and McHenry Counties Principals Association, and Inter-Suburban Superintendents Group. Topics covered in these presentation range the entire spectrum of local government law.
