Howard C. Jablecki is a senior associate with Klein, Thorpe and Jenkins, Ltd., where he concentrates his practice in the areas of municipal law and litigation. He currently serves as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Highwood, local prosecutor for several municipal clients, and represents numerous local governmental clients in litigation matters in both state and federal courts. Mr. Jablecki was named an Illinois Super Lawyers “Rising Star” 2012, and recognized him as one of the top attorneys under the age of 40 in the State of Illinois. He has co-authored several publications and articles on a variety of municipal and local government related topics, including the Manual on Police & Fire Disciplinary Matters published by the Illinois Municipal League and the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education’s (IICLE) handbook on the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Open Meetings Act (OMA). Mr. Jablecki has also spoken at several seminars and conferences on issues relating to municipal law. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association. Mr. Jablecki received his B.A. in economics, cum laude, from Ripon College and his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he was recognized for his excellence in trial advocacy and was a member of the moot court honor society..
