Brian A.F. Gorka is an Associate with Klein, Thorpe & Jenkins, Ltd. whose practice focuses on municipal law and litigation. Brian graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in 2008 with a degree in Urban Planning. He worked as an urban planner in the Chicago suburbs on code enforcement matters, drafting zoning ordinances, and preparing land use plans. Brian graduated from The John Marshall Law School in 2013 focusing his studies and internships on litigation in various Illinois courtrooms and hearing offices. He was an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Civil Bureau of the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office from 2014 through 2018. In this position, he counselled County departments, agencies, and elected officials on FOIA, OMA, contracts, statutory compliance, and litigation. Brian successfully prosecuted hundreds cases under the Mental Health Code, Animal Control Act, and misdemeanor courtrooms.
